The Building Journey with Harwood Homes

Planning and Design.

This means understanding every aspect of your lifestyle – how you entertain, relax and work; all the while considering how to orient your home on its section and create a home of long-lasting value. We regard this part of the process as the most important. By gathering together all the building blocks at the start, we become aligned with your vision and we create a blueprint for a successful outcome.

What's involved?

• Initial Consultation: we undertake a needs analysis covering your budget, and the desired style, design and functionality of your home.  At this stage, we will introduce you to the many 'lifetime of living' feature options available to you.
• If we're building on your land, a site visit will be undertaken by Dave Harwood.
• Dave then works personally with you on your concept plans and select specifications are discussed and understood.
• Final working drawings are produced and the plan is priced.
• Comprehensive specifications, proposals and contracts are drawn up.
• A meeting is held to finalise contracts.

Project commences

Our hand-picked team of specialists work alongside you through every facet of your home’s design, construction and finish. This extends from initial planning to meetings with sub-contractors, interior designers and landscapers. It’s about total involvement regarding every detail of your home and needs.

What's involved?

The building project begins with a meeting with the project manager and thereafter updates or regular meetings are held to keep you informed.
At certain stages of the building project, you will be invited to visit various suppliers to confirm your choices (e.g. kitchen, electrical, bathroom, carpet and more).
All the while, we take photos regularly throughout the building project for a memory album which is presented at the end of the journey.

Hand over

Move in day is a time for celebration and we make this occasion special for you….. indeed, a pleasant surprise awaits!

In addition we give Peace of Mind assurances and a 7 Year Master Builders Warranty, and we present you with all your 'new home' information.  Something else to remember; our name is on your home, it has to be right!
