We decided to relocate from the Waikato to the lovely BOP. Having secured a block of land we set about finding someone to build our house. After spending the morning at the lakes open homes viewing all the usual suspects. we were left a little deflated and no closer to finding our builder. Then a friend with us said why don’t we view the Harwood home as they are the most reputable in the bay! Once we did our minds were quickly put at rest, as to who would build our home, for fairly obvious reasons.
We chose to build something a bit different, fire-kilned hinuera stone and larch timber, low profile. The project didn’t faze Harwood homes, they came up with a lovely plan and we went ahead.
We lived in the shed on site during the build and once the floor was laid, there was what seemed a seamless stream of tradies doing their bit. They all seemed to work in together as a well - organised team. The stonework was outstanding as was the building itself as well as the paint work. I have challenged many a visitor over the last year to find a single fault and they were unable.
When 1 of the stainless- steel corners went up around the larch timber, we all agreed it wasn’t a good look! Harwood homes abandoned that idea and Keith built us lovely boxed corners at Harwoods expense!
So, all in all I can truthfully say that Harwood homes are in fact a great team, who build great homes.
We all hear of building disasters coming up in the news all the time. I must have said at least half a dozen times in the year we have been in the house, THANK GOD WE GOT A HARWOODS.
