HOW IT ALL BEGAN
A passion for building, right from the startIt all started with a hammer in hand and big ideas. At just three years old, Dave Harwood was already giving construction a go – helping his grandparents build their home.
Even as a child, Dave had a natural drive to create, once going so far as to build a tree hut in the neighbour’s prized tree simply because it was better than the one he had at home! |
1988 – A family partnership is bornIn 1988, Dave and Kirsty Harwood launched a small building partnership known as David Harwood Builders. Back then, they did it all themselves – from hands-on building to bookkeeping at the kitchen table.
By 1993, their hard work and growing reputation led to the formation of Harwood Homes. Their very first showhome created such a buzz, it sold before it was even finished – a sign of things to come. |
